Karen V. Buchanan - Past Secretary and Current Board Director

Karen grew up in the Noel and Pineville, MO area and later moved to Joplin while attending MSSU (formerly Joplin Jr College) and Pittsburg State University. Karen joined Commerce Bank in 1964 and currently serves as Vice President and manages the Senior Partners program and General Services for the MO-Kan region.

In 1998 Karen was diagnosed with breast cancer and in 2004 was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.  God has truly blessed Karen during her cancer treatments and in keeping her cancer in remission.

Karen has served as past secretary of the board for the HOPE 4 You Breast Cancer Foundation and remains an active board member. Karen and her husband Roger have one son and one grandson and reside in Joplin.
